My sorry excuses for a web page.

I mentioned I had a web page to a couple people and thought if anyone want's to take a look that have fun.

I have gone through many versions this one loaded the fastest. So I will keep it. very simple yet effective. not completely done - never is.

Girly Tattoo..

Do you see how I added blur to that tattoo. for DOF realism.

Well at least I think it is. But nothing else seemed to be coming to mind at the time.

I never handed these in because I was too busy editing video and doing some audio stuff that day. Yet my group members happened to get them done. O.o

I think I was supposed to say I am a douche bag and am sorry it's late.

Anyhoo. Joe said he wanted them on my blog so here they are. :D

Hover Board - Complete.

Time to party.

What a troublesome project, I should have chose something easier. Well there is always next time. I might be crazy but I'm going out sunday to get this printed (talk about last minute.)

CYBORG SHEEP, is ALIVE !!!!!!!! ...

Well here he is in all his glory. - Alfredo, Amanda and Me made this guy friday but since I was willing to bake him, I had to paint him too. It was fun and I had to get quite creative using paint from a model plane kit and fluff from an old toy. It all worked out in the end.

I kind of burnt him, but you can't tell. :D

Mission Improbable - Video Final Project.

I found out I like editing videos - I am going to Roggers to find out if I can get an editing position. It will be kind of fun doing it with others footage. Of course the footage will be perfect and my editing will be the problem. :D

YA I CAN'T ACT -  Unlike Laura. :D - I think it turned out good, too bad no time to add dialog but the subs are funny. It gets better when the plans start. My opinion.

Water-Color Painting

I seriously dislike painting because I like to have control and feel that when  I'm painting. Especially with water colors It's out of control and I'm struggling to keep it all in order. Were is that undo button when you need it.
I also feel like it took so much time to set up all the supplies and clean up when I was done. Also the amount of time I had to leave it to dry and come back. Not sure if it was worth all that effort - or I'm just lazy.

Hover board. :D

I started with the gears and the everything just fits in to place. I am sure it's going to look so good when I bring it into illustrator.

GUN! - No other word to describe it.

I drew this model for the Photoshop coloring tutorial Joe was giving us. I was having a lot of fun and I could not stop till it was finished. I finally got it done so I thought I would post it on the blog because, It makes sense. Next time I will trace the lines out in illustrator first I did not like the sketched lines.

There are over 50 layers in this and it takes forever to save. I am not sure what could be causing the slow down, I have a feeling it's something to do with the channels. Even when there was 3 layers it took long.

I had a few new experiences during the week.

1. My go-bus decided to take a new way home for me and took a short cut past my stop to get to the station faster. making me have to run for my bus. So I got on the next Day and told the driver I'm not going to the station and he replied "Good thing you told me that". They must be getting lazy.

2. I went to a party the other day where we had two Gigantic been bag chairs. Sitting watching TV and then WHAM! someone jumps on top of me with the bean bag and everyone yells pile. then people are piling on top. It gets really hot, hard to breath and make sure your legs are in a good position because mine hurt like hell. For the rest of the  night at least 3 times someone got jumped sitting on the bag.

Good times.

How often I come in contact with the arrow shape.

I chose to observe how often I come in contact with an arrow shape. It's surprising to know how much I pass in a day and don't even think twice about them. Arrows are a part of our everyday life. I also found some arrows that pointed to the most random things. I took a lot of pictures. So this means I wrote a 10,000 word or more blog post. I tried my best not to take a repetitive amount of pictures. Some arrows I don't have a picture of are the arrows I run into on the computer and I did not get one of the arrow on the road it self. My camera died before I got off the buss. It was an interesting assignment. It took a wile before I could stop noticing arrows afterwards.

Beta Bot

In today's class it was about drawing your ideas on paper or drawing in general. I would love to say I drew the Beta Bot right out of my mind, but I did not. I wasn't aware that we were supposed to draw something entirely new - maybe Joe said something before I walked in. Good thing I started the little guy recently and I have other beginning sketches. So dose it mater if I drew it that day or the day before? It's all the same in my opinion.

I usually do most my sketching in my bed at night. I like the piece and quiet, I can hear my self think also love to be alone while sketching so I can act out scenes to get ideas. I used to collaborate ideas with my brother but he left my house quite some time ago.

First Thought:
I started this project sitting on the can. I was thinking about what I wanted to build next after finishing a P-40 War Hawk for a community project. I wanted something challenging to push me to think ahead about structure. Organic was ruled out quickly because I am horrible at organics and it's no fun. I thought about how I tried making a Mech and ran into trouble because it became too heavy, confusing robotics and the cock pit was really hard to work out. I realized that it was the result of poor planing. I just decided to model the Mech form scratch and it led to my downfall. So I knew I would have to take it slowly and make a strong foundation. I don't know how it hit me but I imagined a shiny white ball rolling about and how cool it would be if legs and guns just pop out and it can fire, barrel-roll and do other crazy things. I wanted a purpose for the ball robot. I like things I make to have a purpose and try to make it believable while still being impossible/fantasy.
My original idea was that it would be a spy robot with a camera that came out and could move around corners or through little cracks. I also was thinking about how it would climb up walls - to get into vents and stuff. It really taxed my brain since it would be impossible. So I thought of a grappling hook device, mission impossible style.
My second idea was to call it a beta bot because it's always in beta testing. It became one of those anime series. Were you have to battle the two bots and see who is the ultimate. I liked this idea because It meant I would have to implement the robot style into many different opponents and could work on cool battles. Also gave me more weapons to build in, which is always cool. In the end I wanted to make it able to do both mainly because I had enough room to fit weapons and spy gear, spy's need weapons too.

Weapons:

Blaster Canons- located in the front, they are designed for close range shooting.

Lazier Shower-  Located right behind the blaster cannons facing toward the sky. This weapon is the most powerful, also the most in-accurate.  The way it works is a satellite feeds video of the perimeter around the Beta bot, the video appears on a screen located behind the head. there are two arms/fingers that tap the screen were ever the enemy is, this fires the guided lazier to there position and deliverers a fatal blow. There is not that much ammo and it is hard to hit a moving target. Usually used in the beginning of battle to get rid of as many opponents possible.

Grappling- Good for holding the enemy down to get a better shot, getting to the hard to reach places and when falling off something.

Why did I put a head - I forgot to mention were that came from. One day at work I was slacking off in the back room and drawing a new avatar picture, It was a toy like robot head. I liked it so much and it was fresh in my mind when I was thinking of the beta bot. Made it a obvious decision to have a head come out. Gives it a human feel, I also worked it into an eject pod robot within the robot. It drills it's self into the ground and the upper shell explodes - final move.

My first blog experience was interesting. I might just add this too my list of horrible interfaced sites for the interactivity class. Took me quite some time to figure out that centering the image locked it in place.
